Mahendra MZ Patel and Chandu CZ Patel, two brothers from New Jersey, own and operate multiple hotels in the US. Both are highly successful — yet rising franchise fees were steadily eroding return on investment.

    Friends & family on board

    Mahendra called his dear friend Pratic in California. A successful IT professional, Pratic examined cost benefits and ROI — and became a strong supporter. Mahendra then shared the facts with his older brother Chandu CZ Patel, who encouraged him to proceed.

    MHO Hotels is born

    After more than two years of meticulous planning, MHO Hotels launched. MHO means Membership Hotel Organization — a red-carpet invitation to join and become a stakeholder in something built by owners, for owners.

    The first to grasp the opportunity and join the MHO core committee were Mahendra's nephew Keshin and his friend Piyush — proof that the vision resonated immediately with fellow hoteliers.

Involvement of Second Generation

Next Priya Patel and Karishma Patel joined the project. Both in their late 20’s, Priya and Karishma have educational background in management and business operations. Their involvement was the initial step towards a bright future. The active participation by youth gave MHO Hotels a brighter dimension for decades to come.

Like-minded owners of hotels can now use their experience and skills for them and not for others. Thoughts of forming their own franchise came to mind like it was a godsend! We have worked very hard whole life, saved some money and invested our hard-earned money in a hotel. Then, we put our heart and soul to maintain the business. Some of us became overnight handymen to fix the problems with our properties. We take a lot of pride in keeping our hotels clean for our guests.
